Pakistan vs Myanmar AFC qualifier to be played behind closed doors in Islamabad

The upcoming AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers match between Pakistan and Myanmar will be played without spectators in Islamabad on March 31, the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) announced.

In a statement, the federation said the decision was taken in line with government policy restricting public gatherings of more than 200 people, as well as measures aimed at austerity and fuel conservation.

The PFF confirmed that the fixture, part of the AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers, will be held under a closed-door policy.

Officials also stated that tickets purchased for the match will be refunded.

While expressing appreciation for the enthusiasm of football fans, the federation said the restrictions were necessary to comply with official directives.
