Teen swept away in Jhelum River in Hattian Bala

A 15-year-old boy was swept away in the Jhelum River in the Dhariyan area of Hattian Bala, officials said on Thursday.

According to reports, the victim, identified as Saud, son of Hanif, was fishing in the river near his residence when he slipped and lost his balance, falling into the fast-flowing water.

Upon receiving information about the incident, local police, rescue teams, and residents rushed to the site and initiated a search operation.

Rescue efforts were ongoing till the filing of this report, with teams attempting to locate the body. Meanwhile, the victim’s family has been left in deep grief following the incident.
