Pakistan People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari Wednesday said Shehbaz Sharif’s statement would be taken as policy statement of PML-N, reported 24News HD TV Channel.

Addressing a press conference in Badin, Bilawal said the PPP was not answerable to PML-N Vice-President Maryam Nawaz or Nawaz Sharif.

While responding to a question regarding Maryam’s recent comments that PPP had not responded to the show cause notice sent to it, Bilawal said, “We are not answerable to Maryam or Mian Sahab. We are answerable to the PPP and the PPP's workers and we think the real joy will be in doing politics together with the PPP's workers.”

On Tuesday, Pakistan Democratic Movement Secretary-General Shahid Khaqan Abbasi had said that there was no place for the PPP within the PDM until it restored the trust it had betrayed. He had said that the PDM had not extended an invitation to the PPP, adding that the alliance was formed for a particular purpose and if the PPP was not committed to that, they did not have a place in the PDM. He said that the PDM had sought a response from the PPP which Bilawal had torn into pieces. “Join together the torn pieces and read it and give us the clarification we had sought, he had said.

The PPP chairman said that Shehbaz Sharif was the leader of the opposition in the National Assembly and the PML-N president, so his stance would be considered to be the policy of PML-N.

He added that the PPP respected JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman and the two parties had had a good relationship.

Bilawal said the PPP was doing the politics based on principles. He said he had not changed his stance regarding the show cause notice. He said they would always oppose the PTI-IMF.
