Dacoits raped a 15-year-old girl in front of her father at Pattoki near Lahore, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.

Zahoor Ahmad told police he was returning home from a marriage ceremony along with his daughter Samreen and a five-year-old son when robbers intercepted them at Pattoki-Chunian Bypass. 

He said that the dacoits took him to the fields where they tied him with a rope and later subjected his daughter to rape right in front of his eyes. “Later, on seeing some passersby, they got panicked and fled, leaving their motorbike behind,” he explained. 

After learning about the incident, personnel of Saddar police station reached the spot and shifted the man, his daughter and son to Tehsil Headquarter Hospital where the girl’s medical test was taken, which confirmed rape with her.    

Later, the police registered a case against unidentified persons under the sections related to robbery and rape.    

Interestingly, the motorbike the robbers left behind turned out to be a stolen one as it was later found out that its case had been registered at Okara’s Saddar police station.

Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shehbaz has taken notice of the rape incident and sought a report from IG police, directing him to ensure early arrest of the accused.

He also ordered provision of early justice to the victim.
