Zardari gives away awards at PSL X closing ceremony

President Asif Ali Zardari attended the closing ceremony of the Pakistan Super League Season X (PSL X) at Lahore’s Gadhafi Stadium on Sunday night.

Zardari congratulated the winners, Lahore Qalandars, and awarded them the trophy. He also awarded medals to the members of the winning team. He said that Lahore Qalandars presented the best game on Sunday night.

On this occasion, the president praised the armed forces of Pakistan, the Pakistan Army, Pakistan Navy and Pakistan Air Force (PAF), for defending the frontiers of Pakistan. He said that a successful defence of the national frontiers made resumption of the PSL X tournament possible. He also congratulated the management of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for successfully organizing the PSL X.

Earlier, greetings started pouring in as soon as Lahore Qalandars won the title of the Pakistan Super League X (PSL X) on Sunday night.

Lahore Qalandars won the PSL title for the third time by beating Quetta Gladiators after a thrilling match at Lahore’s Gadhafi Stadium on Sunday night.

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq and Punjab Police Inspector General (IG) Dr Usman Anwar congratulated the Lahore Qalandars.
