Squash rising national player Azan Ali Khan won the PSA International junior squash tournament held in the United States after securing the boys’ Under-19 title at the Squash on Fire Junior Gold Championship in Washington, D.C, 24NewsHD TV reported on Tuesday.
According to reports, the young Pakistani player delivered an impressive performance throughout the tournament and defeated American player Jon Rockefeller in the final after a competitive contest.
Representing the Pakistan Army, Azan Ali Khan lost one game but recovered strongly to beat his opponent 3-1 and lift the title.
The victory is being seen as another encouraging sign for Pakistan's squash, a sport in which the country once dominated the international stage through legendary champions.
