Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif returns to Lahore after china visit

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Lahore on Tuesday after completing a three-day official visit to China along with a high-level delegation.

During the visit, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held meetings with Xi Jinping, the Chinese prime minister and other senior Chinese officials to discuss bilateral cooperation and matters of mutual interest.

The prime minister also addressed a public gathering during the visit, while several memorandums of understanding (MoUs) were signed between Pakistan and China in various sectors.

The delegation accompanying the prime minister included Ishaq Dar, Federal Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal, Federal Minister for Information Attaullah Tarar, and Minister for IT Shaza Fatima Khawaja.

Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Syed Tariq Fatemi and Foreign Secretary Amina Baloch also arrived in Lahore as part of the delegation.

Officials said strict security arrangements were put in place for the prime minister’s arrival in Lahore. A political and diplomatic team, along with foreign media spokespersons and members of the media team, also accompanied the delegation.

Chief of Protocol and other senior officials received the prime minister upon arrival, while a large number of protocol and security officers were deployed during the visit.

Important meetings and consultative sessions are expected during the prime minister’s stay in Lahore, according to official sources.
