Dengue claims five more lives

Dengue fever killed four patients in Punjab—two in Lahore and one each in Sheikhupura and Bahawalpur – and one patient also lost his life in capital Islamabad, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
Dengue virus infected another 147 persons across the province. Punjab Health Secretary Imran Sikandar Baloch infected person tally reached 24,605 including 17,618 from Lahore and the death toll reached 133. He said anti-dengue teams discarded dengue larva from 207 indoor and outdoor places in Lahore.
In Islamabad, one person lost his battle of life against deadly dengue, another seven more cases were reported.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 45 cases were reported from across the province, a relatively low number as the cold weather sets in, however, active cases reduced to 170 in Peshawar while only 48 cases were admitted in public and private hospitals.
