Islamabad Police IG visits Faizabad

Islamabad Police Inspector General Akbar Nasir Khan on Friday visited Faizabad to review the security arrangements in the wake of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf ((PTI)’s long march on Nov 26, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
SP Industrial Area Nausharwan gave a briefing to Islamabad IG regarding the preparation of the law enforcement agencies to deal with any untoward incident. The IG Islamabad instructed police officers and other personnel on duty to remain alert.
He also heaped praise upon the lawmen for standing firm to maintain law and order. It noted that the entrances from Rawalpindi to Islamabad might be closed on November 26, which may cause problems for people. To ensure the security of the red zone, police, FC, and Rangers have been deployed. It also warned of “strict action” against any kind of “legal obstruction”.
IG Islamabad said that all possible measures would be taken to ensure the safety of the lives and property of the citizens of Islamabad. Keeping in view the threats of terrorism, search operations will be conducted throughout the district.
