Man robbed of 50,000 in Karachi

A man has been robbed of $50,000 cash and other valuables in Karachi’s Clifton area, 24NewsHD TV channel reported.

Local police have registered a case and started an investigation.

The citizen said in the FIR that gunmen snatched foreign and local currency and valuables from him as he returned home from a bank. He came to Karachi from abroad on November 18 and on November 21 he visited the bank where he was told that his account was blocked and the processing will take time admin will inform him as soon as the problem is fixed.

On November 24, the bank management called him to collect the money and according to FIR, he was made to collect the large amount from cash counter and settle the amount in the VIP room

He added he left the bank alone in his car and as soon as he reached home the armed motorcyclist ambushed him and deprived him of the money and valuables.
