The scope of investigation into leakage of income tax returns of outgoing Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa’s family has been widened, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday, quoting sources.

As many as 15 officers and officials including two deputy commissioners of Corporate Tax Office Lahore have been shifted to FBR Headquarters for investigation.

The FBR transferred Deputy Commissioners Atif Warraich and Zahoor Ahmad to Admin Pool Islamabad two days ago.

The FBR probe team in collaboration with IT experts are examining the data base, the sources said, adding the team also has full cooperation from I&I Inland Revenue.

The teams, the sources said, is expected to question more officers and officials.
