Pakistan Sports Board adjudicator declares PAF president election as illegal

Pakistan Sports Board Adjudicator has declared election of Pakistan Athletics Federation (PAF) President as illegal, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

According to PSB verdict, Wajahat Hussain has not been elected as Athletics Federation President Constitutionally.

Adjudicator headed by Senator Pervaiz Rashid delivered the verdict.

The verdict was pronounced after Rule-17 and Sports Code violation proved and PSB ordered immediate transparent elections.

Election of Shahida Khanum and Humaira Mahmood has also been declared unconstitutional.

PSB Adjudicator delivered the verdict on Tariq Sidhu's petition in which the appointments of Wajahat Hussain, Shahida Khanum and Humaira Mahmood were challenged.

Athletics Federation has been directed to submit constitution and electoral college within three days.

It was declared in the verdict that PSB Election Commission will conduct Athletics Federation elections.
