Seven int’l, domestic flights cancelled at Karachi Airport
Seven international and domestic flights failed to depart from Jinnah International Airport (JIAP) Karachi due to various operational and technical issues, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
A Thai Airways flight TG-342 was cancelled. The flight failed to take off from Karachi International Airport for Muscat.
An Airblue flight, PA-110, was cancelled. The flight was scheduled to land in Dubai from Karachi.
A Flynas flight XY-638 was cancelled. The flight was scheduled to depart from Karachi for Jeddah.
An Omar Air flight WY-324 was cancelled. The flight failed to take off from Karachi for Muscat.
An Air Sial flight, PF-143, was cancelled. The flight was scheduled to land at Allama Iqbal International Airport (AIIA) in Lahore from Karachi.
Another Air Sial flight, PF-125, was cancelled. The flight was scheduled to arrive at New Islamabad International Airport (NIIA), from Karachi.
A Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight PK-306, was cancelled. The flight was scheduled to land at Lahore airport from Karachi.
Officials urged airlines to ensure timely communication with affected passengers, while travellers were reminded to verify flight status before heading to the airport to avoid inconvenience.
The cancellations highlight ongoing operational challenges at busy airports, emphasizing the need for preventive maintenance and effective coordination among airlines to minimize passenger disruptions during peak travel periods.
