Balochistan’s political masters have put their heads together to form a new government in the province after Jam Kamal Alyani resigned a day before the voting on Opposition’s no-trust motion and it seemed BAP’s Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo would be able win support from his allies, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

Quddus Bizenjo of Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) who hailed from Awaran tehsil —remained Balochistan Assembly Speaker for three years and Balcohsitan’s CM for a brief stint — is likely to be the next chief executive of Balochistan.

For BA Speaker Jan Muhammad Jamali’s name is a hot favourite.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Parliamentary Committee has decided to nominate its Balochistan Assembly parliamentary leader Sardar Yar Muhammad Rind for the Balochistan CM slot and Sardar Babar Musa Khel for BA speaker slot. Both candidates will file nominations papers soon.

Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F), Balochistan National Party (BNP-Mengal) and Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP) agreed to sit and discuss the formation of the new government in Balochistan.

PDM President Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that final decision would be taken after consultations with the parties in Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM).

He alleged that Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) got votes from Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) secretly.

Maulana Fazl vowed that his party was not like those who give or receive votes secretly. “We have not decided to join the Balochistan government yet,” said the Maulana.

He said that Jam Kamal’s own companions from BAP were against him, hence then, JUI-F and others were already in opposition.

Maulana Fazl admitted that JUI-F took advantage from the rifts in the Balochistan government s ranks.

The PDM president said that he got support from two opposition parties — BAP-Mengal and PkMAP — for the consultation on the new government.

Former Chief Minister of Balochistan Jam Kamal earlier tweeted, “Qudoos Bizenjo has honoured his committment... Though a little late after the ministers... But at least it’s good to see people fulfilling commitments.”
