SC hears plea against torture on Shahbaz Gill tomorrow

A three-member bench of the Supreme Court will hear a petition against the alleged ‘custodian torture’ and remand of PTI leader Shahbaz Gill tomorrow, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
The Supreme Court has fixed the hearing of PTI petition against the alleged ‘physical torture’ and remand of its leader Shahbaz Gill in police custody.
A three-judge bench headed by Justice Ijazul Ahsan will hear the case tomorrow.
The court has issued notices to Islamabad Advocate General, investigation officer and other respondents.
The Islamabad High Court on Sept 15, granted bail to Gill in a sedition case against Rs0.5 million surety bonds.
Gill was detained on August 9 following his controversial anti-establishment remarks on a private TV channel. A first information report (FIR) was registered against him for inciting mutiny within the armed forces during his interview.
