Shehbaz urges people to take streets to topple Imran Khan-led govt
Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif Sunday urged the people to take to the streets to topple Imran Khan’s government.
According to the 24News HD TV Channel, the PML-N president addressed the party workers’ convention in Rawalpindi and criticised the government on the issue of high inflation in the country.
Shehbaz said the government had increased the prices of medicines.
He said that the financial situation of the common persons is miserable but the ruler was saying they should not worry.
The PML-N president demanded the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) ensure holding the next polls transparently.
He said they demanded free, fair and transparent elections from not only the ECP but the judiciary and other institutes of the state.
Shehbaz said that his party would bury the politics of the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) forever in the next general elections.
He congratulated the party leaders including Haneef Abbasi, Danial Chaudhry, Sardar Naseem, Tahira Aurangzeb and Seema Jilani for getting better results in the cantonment boards’ elections.
