Spokesman of the Foreign Office Asim Iftikhar Ahmed Monday expressed Pakistan’s grave concerns regarding the safety of the Pakistani community living in Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan while regretting the loss of precious lives due to border tensions between the two countries, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.

Deadly skirmishes between the armed forces of Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan over disputed border issues escalated again.

The Foreign Office Spokesman further hoped that both of our two brother countries will resolve the situation through diplomacy and negotiations.

“Our diplomatic missions in Tajikistan, Dushanbe and Kyrgyzstan, in Bishkek, are monitoring the situation closely for the safety of the Pakistani community,” said the Foreign Office spokesperson.
