Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) approved small business industrial relief package worth Rs.50.69 billion in a meeting earlier today chaired by Advisor Finance Hafeez Sheikh.

According to details, Rs 50.69 billion have been allocated particularly for small business industrial aid package.

Under the package small shopkeepers would be provided with a relief of 100,000 whereas Rs 450,000 support will be provided to industrial consumers.

Moreover according to the package, small shopkeepers and industrial consumers have been given a relief in shape of three-month electricity bills.

This package also has allocated Rs 2.5 billiion for Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.

The ECC also approved funds for SBP worth 30 billion under Credit Refinance Scheme which safeguards employees from dismissal from private institutions.

Additionally, External Debt Restructuring, deferment of Loans from G20 Countries and Rs. 3 Billion was approved for fencing on Pak-Iran border during the ECC meeting.
