Sindh Cabinet approves Covid-19 Emergency Relief Ordinance

The Sindh Cabinet accorded approval to Covid-19 Emergency Relief Ordinance 2020 here on Monday.

The ordinance was approved during a cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah held in Karachi.

After approval from the provincial cabinet, the ordinance will be sent to Governor Imran Ismail.

According to the document, no employee will be fired from a job and a person working in the private sector must be paid salary.

School fees will be waived off by 20 per cent only for the months of April and May 2020. Electricity bills will have to be discounted in stages while house rents will have to be discounted in any case.
