Pakistan HC in London gets Scotland Yard security after Indians attack

Pakistan’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Dr. Mohammad Faisal, confirmed on Monday that the Pakistan High Commission in London came under attack earlier in the day when Hindu extremists hurled large white stones, shattering the windows of the diplomatic building.

Speaking to the media, Dr. Faisal described the attack as "unprovoked and disturbing," adding that despite the provocation, "the Pakistani people are a peaceful nation" committed to resolving conflicts through dialogue, not violence.

"This morning, an extremist broke the windows of the Pakistan High Commission by throwing large stones," Dr. Faisal said, recounting the incident that has raised alarm bells in diplomatic circles.

The High Commissioner emphasised that Pakistan’s Prime Minister had offered a transparent investigation into the Pahalgam incident — the recent flashpoint stoking tensions between Pakistan and India — stressing that "the answer will be given as the conversation is," hinting at Pakistan’s policy of measured, proportional response.

Following the attack, Scotland Yard police officers have been deployed outside the Pakistan High Commission, providing enhanced security. The High Commission has also formally notified the British Foreign Office in writing about the security breach.
