Gold price inches up by Rs800 per tola in Pakistan

The prices of gold increased in the local market on Monday with 24-karat gold per tola gaining Rs800 to settle at Rs493,962 compared to Rs493,162 on the previous trading day, according to rates issued by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.
The price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold rose by Rs686 to Rs423,492 from Rs422,806, whereas 10 grams of 22-karat gold went up by Rs629 to Rs388,215 against Rs387,586.
In the international market, the price of gold increased by $8 to $4,716 per ounce from $4,708.
Meanwhile, the price of silver per tola remained unchanged at Rs8,049, while the price of 10 grams of silver also stayed flat at Rs6,900.
The price of silver in the international market held steady at $75.65 per ounce.
