Triple murder in Sargodha: Three women shot dead over marriage dispute
In a shocking incident, an armed man shot dead three women in a village in Sargodha following a dispute over a marriage proposal, police said.
According to officials, the incident took place in Mellowal, where the victims included a mother, her daughter and a domestic worker. The deceased were identified as Hanaf Mohsin, Marhat Mohsin and Noreen.
Police stated that the suspect, identified as Abbas, who is reportedly the stepbrother of the victim's husband, had been demanding the hand of his relative’s daughter in marriage. Upon refusal, he allegedly opened fire, killing all three women on the spot.
The accused managed to flee the scene after the shooting. Law enforcement agencies have launched a manhunt, and special teams have been formed to apprehend the suspect.
Authorities said investigation is underway to establish all aspects of the case. The brutal nature of the killings has sparked fear and concern among residents in the area.
