A woman lawyer, Nasreen, nominated her former husband and three other people in an abduction case after she appeared at a local court to record her statement on Wednesday.
Nasreen alleged four people including her former husband Akmal, Nazar Fareed, Haq Nawaz and Awais kidnapped her at gunpoint. She told the court that the accused contacted her on the pretext of seeking a legal opinion.
On Monday, Prime Minister Imran Khan took notice as the sorry story came to spotlight after a social media campaign.
She said the abductors tortured to make her sign on blank papers and threw her on a roadside. Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar directed the police high-ups to bring to book the culprits as soon as possible.
