Ministries have not prepared 20-year performance report months after prime minister s directives

The Establishment Division has so far failed to enforce new rules for retirement of incapable and corrupt officials, 24NewsHD reported on Wednesday.
Prime Minister Imran Khan issued directives to enforce the new policy in April. Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Establishment Muhammad Shehzad Arbab presided over three meetings but to no avail.
The federal ministries are being blamed for showing typical apathy in submitting 20-year record of grade 20 to grade 22 officials from police, administrative service and secretariat group. Technical issues are also cited as the reason for the delay.
The Civil Servants (Directory Retirement from Service) Rules 2020 had been notified on April 15 and the Establishment Division sent new rules to all ministries and divisions. On April 30, PM Imran directed all ministries to compile the lists.
The retirement body, headed by the Federal Public Service Commission chairman could not meet as the ministries did not prepare the report.
