Govt extends lockdown in 11 districts of Punjab till Sep 15
Following the severe situation of the corona epidemic, the healthcare department of Punjab extended lockdown in 11 districts including Lahore and Rawalpindi till September 15, 2021.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department Secretary Imran Sikandar Baloch issued a notification of extension of the lockdown on Friday.
Lahore, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Multan, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Bahawalpur, Khanewal, Mianwali, Khoshab, and Raheem Yar Khan Districts were included in the list.
The healthcare department had extended the lockdown on the recommendations of the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) and the Punjab government.
During the lockdown in all these 11 districts, markets would be closed at 8 pm and other restrictions already issued by the government would be followed strictly.
The lockdown would be effective from August 27 to September 15 to control the rising cases of Corona.
Earlier, the government had announced lockdown from August 09 to 31 in four districts of Punjab including Lahore, Faisalabad, Rawalpindi and Multan.
During the lockdown, indoor weddings or other gatherings were banned.
