Asia Cup 2022, one of the largest cricket competitions—which is not sponsored by the ICC—is about to begin in the next few hours where Afghanistan, and Sri Lanka, are set to begin the six-team tournament at the Dubai International Stadium.

The event will feature action-packed matches between Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, and Hong Kong.

Even though the six best Asian teams are competing in the competition, India and Pakistan have the best chances of winning the tournament, as per the cricket legends' comments.

Considering the teams’ performance thus far in their international recent tours, it could not be ignored that cricket fans to see tough competitions.

All eyes on Pak-India Match

Arch-rivals India and Pakistan teams are about to play on Aug 28 and cricket fans across the world are set to watch an action-packed contest.

Pakistan broke the jinx of the Indian batting order in T20 World Cup last year when green shirts outperformed India and won the World Cup match.

Lankan batters in Asia Cup

On the other hand, Sri Lanka has won the Asia Cup 5 times, trailing only India, which has won it seven times. The previous Asia Cup victory for Sri Lanka came in 2014 when the competition was in the ODI format. In the final, Sri Lanka won by 5 wickets.

It will be very difficult for them to get past the group stage, though, considering their present performance and the continuing uncertainty over the clarity of their roles.

Bangla Tigers

Bangladesh and Afghanistan have similar situations as Afghanistan has never reached to the Asia Cup final, whereas Bangladesh has been in three finals during the previous four editions of the Asian competition but has never taken home a trophy.

Bangladesh has the potential to pull off an unbelievable feat in the next competition. With players like Shakib al Hasan and Mushfiqur Rahim on their sides, Bangladesh would want to excel and throw off the constraints.
