Late at night, unidentified assaults attacked the Manjiwala Toll Plaza on the Indus Highway in Lakki Marwat, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to the report, the assailants opened fire, leaving 30-year-old Ali Muhammad, a resident of Lakki City, critically injured.
In the ensuing panic, 60-year-old Dilnawaz Khan from Karak suffered a heart attack and passed away on the spot.
The Manjiwala police post successfully repelled the attack, but the attackers managed to escape.
Rescue 1122 medical teams promptly shifted the deceased's body and the injured employee to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital in Sarai Naurang.
