Asif Bilal Lodhi reappointed as Lahore Commissioner with additional charge
Asif Bilal Lodhi has once again been given the additional charge of Commissioner Lahore, while the responsibility has been withdrawn from the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Lahore.
According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, officials confirmed the administrative reshuffle on Wednesday.
This is not the first time Lodhi has served as Commissioner of Lahore, as he had previously held the position.
The Commissioner’s office of Lahore Division, now located at 01-Broomhead Road, GOR-I, Lahore—previously situated at Dev Samaj Road behind Civil Secretariat—plays a pivotal role in overseeing governance, development, and public facilitation in the division.
Its key responsibilities include running a 24/7 control room for public assistance, monitoring development projects, ensuring sanitation during public events, conducting anti-beggary campaigns, and facilitating direct accessibility to the Deputy Commissioner’s office.
The office also spearheads public awareness campaigns such as poliovirus prevention drives.
Recently, the Commissioner’s office launched a state-of-the-art monitoring and control room at its new GOR-I headquarters.
