Modi govt stages “drone drama” after humiliating defeat in Operation Sindoor

Following its humiliating setback in Operation Sindoor, the Modi-led Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) government has attempted to open a new front by staging what analysts call a “drone drama” along the Line of Control, 24NewsDH TV channel reported on Wednesday.

According to a report published in the Indian newspaper The Hindu, security forces in Poonch and Mendhar sectors claimed to have detected several Pakistani drones hovering for a few minutes before returning to their own territory. 

Officials stated that half a dozen drones were allegedly seen over Balakot, Langot, and Gursai Nala on Sunday night at around 9:15 PM.

The drones, reportedly flying at a high altitude, were said to have quickly returned to Pakistani airspace within five minutes. Indian security forces then launched a search operation in the area.

However, political observers dismiss the claims as propaganda orchestrated by the BJP and the Indian military to mask internal failures and whip up anti-Pakistan war hysteria. 

Critics argue the ruling party is once again leaning on false flag tactics and “Godi media” to divert public attention from domestic crises.

Analysts further believe that the BJP government, under pressure from internal dissent and political challenges, is deliberately fostering an atmosphere of hostility to rally nationalist sentiment.

“Modi has once again sacrificed regional peace at the altar of fascism and war-mongering,” one commentator remarked.
