Lahore College for Women University (LCWU) student won 5th position in ISPR’s National Short Film Festival for her documentary ‘Culinary Heritage of Lahore,’ reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday. 

Rabia Shehzad, an MS student of Broadcast Media in LCWU, made the documentary ‘Culinary Heritage of Lahore’ under the supervision of Mass Communication Assistant Professor Naveed Iqbal. The film presented the traditional cuisine of Lahore as a cultural heritage. 

It is pertinent to note that 30 films were shortlisted from across the country in the competition and the top 15 films were awarded one-year film making study scholarship by ISPR. 15 students including Rabia Shahzad will be sent to New York Film Academy Australia. 

Bushra Mirza, vice chancellor of LCWU, remarked in a statement to the media “Our youth are rich in skills. Special training is being given in film making and women are advancing in every field.”
