Former minister for religious affairs and Pakistan Muslim League-Zia (PML-Z) President Ijazul Haq Sunday said that long march was mere an activity of political parties to trick each other, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Talking to media at Kot Addu Press Club, the former federal minister said that the current government had failed to provide relief to the people.

“Some political parties are in search for an NRO. These political parties have done nothing for the people,” he deplored.

The PML-Z leader said that he was from Bahawalnagar, and therefore, he contested election from southern Punjab.

He also maintained that the petrol prices would climb up further amid Russia-Ukraine war. “The United States is afraid after a humiliating defeat in Afghanistan; otherwise, the circumstances would have led to a third world war,” he added.

“Army is an independent institution; however, it is not good to drag it into politics,” he stated.
