A judicial magistrate in Islamabad on Tuesday granted 5-day physical remand of journalist and YouTuber Asad Ali Toor on the request of Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) in a case registered on the allegations of starting “malicious campaign” against the government institutions, judiciary and big personalities of the country, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

FIA cybercrime circle presented Asad Toor in the court and requested for his physical remand in the court of Judicial Magistrate Muhammad Khan. After listening to the arguments of FIA counsel, the judge approved the five-day physical remand of the accused.

The FIA registered a case against Asad Toor and arrested him. He was also accused of making negative use of social media platforms.

Meanwhile, mother of journalist Asad Toor filed a bail application in Islamabad High Court.
