JUI won't partake in presidential poll, says Fazl

Jamiat Ulema Islam chief has said 2018 polls-like ringing was done in the 2024 vote, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Tuesday.
The representative of the people should not be the representative of the establishment, he said while addressing a press conference.
He said: “We are inside the country. Those inside the system will cry after a few days.
The JUI chief stressed: “During the election campaign, it was known who was winning and who was losing. The establishment is responsible for the rigging, this system will not work.
He added: “We will remain in parliament, but will not participate in presidential elections. The PTI had contacted, but no formal talks have taken place.
“Our position is clear, we will not be part of any government.”
He said he opposed the arrest of Imran Khan as, according to him was not in favour of keeping any politician in jail
He continued: “When the election is over, there is no threat to us. Before the election, we were asked not to go out
“For whom is our ideology affects? Who is in danger from us?
“Our numbers in the assemblies have been reduced at the behest of world forces.
“The world knows that there is a force that is openly against Israel. Before the elections, it was decided to reduce the size of JUI.”
