Popular Pakistani actress Yashma Gill took to her Instagram handle and shared the good news with her millions of fans and followers that she became the brand ambassador for PARC (Police Animal Rescue Centre), a commendable initiative by the Punjab Police aimed at safeguarding and aiding animals in need.

“I am deeply honored to serve as the ambassador for PARC (Police Animal Rescue Centre)”, she wrote.

She shared pictures from the center, met its staff members, and visited different departments of the center.

She also took a group photo with all the staff members.

While sharing the glimpses she wrote a long note in appreciation of the IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar and ASP Syeda Shehrbano Naqvi for their visionary leadership in spearheading this project, which originated in collaboration with JFK Animal Rescue and Shelter and is now expanding throughout Punjab.

“PARC offers invaluable services including a free rescue ambulance, first aid facilities, and specialized software tailored for animal welfare. For assistance, individuals can reach out to the helpline at 0319-2646257.

“During a recent visit to the Qaddafi Stadium, I had the pleasure of meeting the remarkable sniffer dogs diligently serving their duties. Furthermore, the Punjab Police has initiated adoption programs for retiring police dogs, exemplifying their compassionate approach.

“Witnessing this compassionate and proactive stance from the Punjab Police fills me with hope for the future of Pakistan. Let us continue to support and advocate for such positive initiatives.”

She praised ASP Shehrbano's bravery and intelligence over the recent matter when she saved a woman (wearing an Arabic calligraphy-adorned outfit) from an angry mob.

"I previously shared these sentiments as an expression of gratitude for your commitment to animal welfare but today, I'm reposting them as an admirer, as a FAN!!. someone forever indebted to you for your courageous actions. Your stand against injustice and cruelty, facing down a mob of men without hesitation, exemplifies both compassion and bravery. A heartfelt salute and a round of applause for your unwavering dedication", she captioned.

“Thrilled to join IG Punjab (Dr. Usman Anwar) and ASP Shehrbano for a conversation on animal rescue in Lahore, bridging the gap between compassion and cricket at the PSL match! Thanks for having me”, she wrote.

These incredible dogs devote their lives to training and serving in the police force. Previously, the unfortunate practice was to euthanize them upon retirement. However, thanks to the efforts of IG Punjab, ASP Shehrbano, and Zufishan, this practice has been abolished nationwide in Pakistan. Now, these remarkable creatures have the opportunity to be adopted and find loving homes after their years of service. Let’s join together to ensure more heroes like K2 and Stella can find the caring homes they deserve.

She also dropped a video with a lengthy note that reads:

“Today, I had the opportunity to visit the SIPS (Special Initiative Police Station) located in Gulberg, Lahore, and I must express my sheer amazement! It’s truly a sight to behold, reminiscent of a lavish 5-star hotel rather than a conventional police station. From the exquisite interior design to the welcoming atmosphere and hospitable demeanor of the staff, every aspect surpasses expectations.

“IGP Dr. Usman Anwar’s efforts to bridge the gap between the police and the public are commendable. These innovative police stations are a testament to the positive changes underway. They are not just places to visit but essential experiences.

“This transformative approach not only alleviates public apprehension but also fosters a sense of comfort and trust, encouraging individuals to engage with law enforcement in various circumstances.

“I’m thoroughly impressed by this progressive initiative by the Punjab Police, and I look forward to witnessing further advancements in the future.”
