Deadline of installing M-Tags on bikes in Islamabad extended

Director General (DG) Excise Islamabad has extended the deadline of installing M-tags on bikes until March 5, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.

In this regard, DG Excise Irfan Memon said citizens should install M-tags on their motorcycles by March 5.

In view of Ramadan, the working hours of M-tag centers have also been changed, Irfan Memon said.

24-hour, 12-hour and 8-hour working hours have been issued at various centers, Irfan Memon added.

He said so far, a total of 8,928 M-tags have been installed on motorcycles.

In the last 24 hours, 2,069 M-tags were installed on bikes, DG Excise said.

Irfan Memon said a total of 238,080 vehicles have been issued tags so far.

He said citizens are requested to install M-tags on vehicles and motorcycles by all means.

Regarding M-tags, all possible resources are being utilized, DG Excise said.
