DG Drug declares three medicines as substandard
The Directorate-General of Drug Control declared three medicines as fake and substandard and directed the removal of stocks of these medicines from the markets immediately, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
According to details, the batch of tablet D'Gest used in gynaecology was found to be fake and substandard.
A batch of Gabarica, a tablet used to treat neuropathic pain, was also found to be fake and substandard. Moreover, adulteration was also found in three batches of steroid injection Nudex.
All pharmacists and chemists working at distributors and pharmacies should immediately check their stocks and stop supplying these products. The remaining stocks should be quarantined and returned to the supplier/company.
