South Korean woman arrested for two murders using ChatGPT guidance

South Korean authorities have arrested a 21-year-old woman accused of fatally drugging and killing two men in Seoul, reportedly using the AI tool ChatGPT to plan the murders.

The shocking case has stirred widespread concern across the country, 24NewsHD TV reported on Friday.

According to media reports, the suspect allegedly lured her first victim to a small hotel in the capital, where she spiked his drink with sedatives and alcohol, rendering him unconscious before killing him.

A few weeks later, she used the same method to murder a second individual.

Investigators revealed that the woman had previously attempted a similar murder in December 2025.

During interrogation, she admitted using ChatGPT to determine the appropriate dosage of drugs and to understand how to mix them with alcohol to incapacitate her victims.

Authorities confirmed that records of her AI queries were recovered as part of the investigation.

The suspect is currently undergoing a full psychological evaluation before formal trial proceedings, while investigations continue to determine the full extent of her actions and whether AI-assisted planning played a role in additional crimes.
