No proof of Aslam going to CM House yesterday found, say police

Police in Karachi have said that no proof of Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) Joint Organizer Aslam going to the Sindh Chief Minister’s (CM) House has been found as investigation into his death, which his party blames on the police during the party’s protest demonstration yesterday (Wednesday, January 26, 2022), is underway, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.
Police have also obtained the Call Record Data (CRD) of the deceased MQM-P office-bearer.
The investigators have said that when Aslam’s condition deteriorated, he was first shifted to a cardiology hospital in Federal B. Area. From there, he was taken to NICVD at 10:29 PM, while 10 minutes later at 10:35 PM doctors confirmed his death, they told the media.
The initial investigation has further revealed that yesterday Aslam was at his home at 1:42 in the afternoon, and that he had reached Sharae Faisal to participate in the protest at 5:10 in the evening.
After that, the investigators tell, he reached Karachi Press Club at 6:32 PM, and stayed there until 7:54 PM.
And at 6:30 in the evening, police action against the MQM-P protestors outside the CM House began, and that time was at the press club.
CRD further tells that at 8:19 PM, the deceased was at Rashid Minhas Road, and was probably on his way back home.
And later at 8:42 PM, Aslam was at Federal B. Area’s Block 15, which is adjacent to Rashid Minhas Road.
And at that time, he was brought to Karachi’s Institute of Heart Diseases where he breathed his last, the investigators said.
And the medical report tells that there was no visible bruise or an injury on Aslam’s body which could go on to show that he had been baton-charged.
However, the investigators said that they were going ahead with their probe in order to ascertain the real causes of his death.
