According to the 24News HD TV channel, on the instructions of party supremo Nawaz Sharif, the PML-N has started preparations for the elections while the PM conducted an online meeting of the old party ticket holders and candidates here in Islamabad.
PM Shahbaz Sharif directed the candidates to prepare for the elections and instructed them to ensure full public participation in meetings and rallies being held under the leadership of Maryam Nawaz.
Shehbaz Sharif instructed the candidates to start public relations campaigns in their respective constituencies and must inform the masses about the role of the previous government of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in inflation and other economic crisis.
The PM said the PML-N will decide on the tickets on the basis of public popularity, reputation, and performance of the candidates in their respective constituencies to win the next elections.
PM Shehbaz said his coalition government prioritized national interests over personal political interests and took tough decisions to save the country from bankruptcy.
He announced that they will go to the elections with full preparation and homework, adding that there is no division in the PML-N as all of them are united under the leadership of Nawaz Sharif.
Later, he reached Lahore from Islamabad on a special plane. He was brought to his residence in Model Town under tight security from Lahore Old Airport.
