A woman and her twins died during delivery due to the negligence of a quack in Sarai Alamgir Tehsil of Gujrat on Friday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

According to the family of the deceased, 30-year-old Nazia, a resident of Shekham village, was brought to a private hospital for delivery where she was handled by a quack. 

The negligence of the quack led to the death of Nazia and her twins during the delivery. Following their death, the hospital staff fled from the scene. 

Rescue 1122 reached the spot and handed over the dead bodies to Sarai police station personnel.

The death of the young woman during delivery in the hands of quack enraged the locals who demanded the arrest of quack. They said that Phool Nagar, Jambar, Sarai Alamgir and its surroundings are flooded with quacks and midwives but nobody takes action against them. 

Sarai Mughal police station registered case against the accused and started further action.
