Motorway M3 closed from Faizpur to Jaranwala amid dense fog

The Motorway Police have temporarily closed a section of the M3 motorway from Faizpur to Jaranwala due to dense fog, officials confirmed on Tuesday.

According to Syed Imran Ahmed, spokesperson for the Central Region, the decision to shut down the motorway was taken to protect the lives and property of commuters. He warned that foggy conditions can be extremely dangerous for driving, significantly reducing visibility and increasing the risk of accidents.

The Motorway Police have urged citizens to avoid unnecessary travel during foggy weather and to prioritize safety. Commuters have been advised to plan their journeys carefully and, if possible, delay travel until conditions improve.

Officials further recommended travelling during daylight hours in foggy conditions, stating that the safest window for travel is between 10:00 am and 6:00 pm, when visibility is relatively better.

The Motorway Police continue to monitor weather conditions closely and have appealed to the public to follow traffic advisories and cooperate with authorities to ensure road safety.
