Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan thanking his fans and well-wishers said his wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and daughter Aaradhya have tested negative for COVID-19.

Abhishek said in a tweet that Aishwarya and their eight-year-old daughter had tested negative and been sent home while he and his father Amitabh Bachchan were still in the hospital.

The Bollywood actor said they will now be at home. “My father and I remain in hospital under the care of the medical staff,” he said in a tweet.

Star actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has been discharged from Mumbai's Nanavati Hospital, where she was being treated for COVID-19, after a 10-day stay.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, 46, tested positive a day after her husband Abhishek and father-in-law Amitabh Bachchan; she was isolated at the Bachchan residence for about a week and then moved to the hospital on July 17. Amitabh and Abhishek Bachchan had already been taken to hospital on July 11. Jaya Bachchan tested negative for the virus.
