Coach says Pak women's cricket team will perform outstandingly in WC

Pakistan’s women’s cricket team’s head bowling coach, Junaid Khan, has said that the entire women’s cricket team is focusing on the World Cup (WC), and we tried to improve our performance by joining a skills and development camp, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Sunday.

He said that prior to the start of the Ireland tour, we attended practice sessions held in the National Bank Stadium for twenty-seven days.

Junaid Khan said that we only focused on 50 overs, and bowlers showed outstanding performance during the qualifying round.

He further said that we have to rotate strikes and take single runs, which is an important factor in a 50-over match, instead of taking boundaries.

Junaid Khan said that we prepared ourselves according to Ireland's conditions. Captain of the women’s cricket team, Fatima Sana, said that we focused on fitness, keeping in view the Karachi atmosphere. She said that captaincy is a challenge, but I am enjoying it.

She further said that if our team wins a tournament, then its morale will definitely become positive. She said that good batting produced better results.

Fatima Sana said that we will try to play against India without any pressure. She said that the Pakistan women’s cricket team will deliver the best performance during the upcoming Ireland tour and will also produce the best results during the World Cup.
