Coldplay kiss cam scandal: Kristin Cabot seen without wedding ring

Kristin Cabot, the HR executive at tech firm Astronomer, has officially stepped down from her role after a kiss cam scandal involving CEO Andy Byron went viral.

The 52-year-old was seen for the first time since the incident, notably without her wedding ring, as she appeared sombre while tending to her garden outside her $2.2 million home in Rye, New Hampshire.

Cabot’s resignation came just days after footage from a Coldplay concert in Boston on July 16 spread across social media, capturing her and Byron, both of whom are married, getting cozy during a kiss cam moment.

The viral clip showed the pair quickly pulling apart in an apparent attempt to avoid being recognised, but the damage was already done.

A spokesperson confirmed to TMZ, "Kristin Cabot is no longer with Astronomer,  she’s resigned." Byron, the CEO, also stepped down earlier this week amid the growing backlash.

Exclusive photos published by Daily Mail show Kristin dressed in a pink athletic set and light jacket, her hair tied in a bun, watering plants and trying to maintain a low profile. Her husband, Privateer Rum CEO Andrew Cabot, heir to a reported $15.4 billion family fortune, was nowhere to be seen.

While the current status of the Cabots’ marriage remains unclear, new “No Trespassing” signs have appeared outside their coastal New England home.

Sources say Andrew returned from a business trip to Asia over the weekend, reportedly walking into the scandal as it unfolded online.

Despite the public fallout, Kristin was seen hosting a small gathering at the property, with several guests playing soccer and golf in the backyard. However, her missing wedding ring, previously visible in older photos and family events, was a detail that did not go unnoticed.

Public records indicate that the Cabots purchased the Rye property in February with a $1.6 million mortgage. Though listed as a fixer-upper, renovations have not yet begun.

No divorce filings have surfaced in either New Hampshire or Massachusetts, but with a home loan shared between them, financial entanglements could complicate a potential split.

The scandal has ignited intense online debate, with many questioning the appropriateness of outing personal matters caught on camera at public events.
