JUI's former general secretary Dr Wali Khan murdered in Bannu 

A tragic incident occurred in Bannu where the former General Secretary of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI), Subdivision Wazir, Dr Syed Wali Khan, was brutally murdered.

According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, unidentified individuals in a motorcar targeted him in the Daragai area.

Dr Syed Wali Khan had been residing in Chashmai due to tense conditions in his native area. 

He had left the region temporarily for safety but returned briefly for work-related matters.

While visiting his hometown just a day earlier, he was intercepted by unknown armed individuals. 

The assailants reportedly took him to his unoccupied house and murdered him there in cold blood.

His killing has sent shockwaves through the local political and tribal communities, raising concerns about rising insecurity and targeted violence in the region. 

Authorities have launched an investigation, but the perpetrators remain at large as of now.
