Punjab Governor hails CM Maryam’s relief package for flood victims

Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider has lauded Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif for announcing a relief package of Rs1 million per family for flood-affected people of Hafizabad and Pindi Bhattian, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel on Sunday. 

Punjab Governor in his letter to CM Maryam hoped that the government will announce similar relief packages for the flood-hit areas of Jhelum and Chakwal.

“I appreciate the positive efforts of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz. I wrote her a letter due to her busy schedule which should not be given any political color,” said Governor Haider clarified.

He stated that CM Maryam was following in the footsteps of her father, Mian Nawaz Sharif, and was fully dedicated to serving the people of Punjab. 

He said Punjab and Centre governments are on the same page when it comes to the province’s progress and prosperity.
