Pakistan storm into Central Asian Volleyball Championship semi-finals with fourth straight win

Pakistan booked their place in the semi-finals of the Central Asian Volleyball Championship after defeating Uzbekistan in straight sets to register their fourth consecutive victory in the tournament.

Playing at the Islamabad Sports Complex, Pakistan produced another dominant display, overcoming Uzbekistan 3-0 with set scores of 25-13, 25-22 and 25-18 to remain unbeaten in the championship.

The hosts controlled the opening set with ease before facing a stronger challenge in the second. Pakistan, however, held their nerve to take the set before comfortably sealing the third to complete another convincing victory.

With four wins from four matches, Pakistan have secured a place in the last four and strengthened their credentials as one of the tournament's strongest contenders.

On the fifth day of the championship, Sri Lanka defeated Kazakhstan, while Bangladesh overcame Nepal in the other two matches.

The Central Asian Volleyball Championship is currently underway at the Islamabad Sports Complex, featuring leading teams from across the region competing for the continental title.
