A pregnant woman was allegedly abducted and later killed in Balochistan's Awaran district, with her family accusing members of the India-backed banned Baloch Liberation Front (BLF) of carrying out the crime, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Monday.

The victim, identified as Rubina, was abducted at gunpoint during the night of 20–21 July. Her father claimed that Akbar, son of Ghani, acted with members of the Fitna al Hindustan in carrying out the abduction.

Further of the victim woman also alleged that his daughter was sexually assaulted while being held captive.

Rubina's body, bearing signs of severe injuries, was recovered on 25 July from the Kabri Kor Nala area of Awaran district.

Expressing grief and anger, the victim's father said his daughter had been held for four days before her body was abandoned on the fifth day.

He questioned why, he said, such an act had been committed against his family and called for those responsible to be brought to justice.

Commenting on the incident, analysts stated such acts of violence against civilians, particularly women, were contrary to Baloch traditions and values.

They said those responsible sought to spread fear among local communities but would not succeed in achieving their objectives.
