Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar and Speaker of Punjab Assembly Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi on Saturday discussed public welfare programmes and both leaders reiterated their resolve to work together for service of masses. Later, Chief Minister Buzdar dashed to Islamabad reportedly for a meeting with Prime Minister Imran Khan.

During the meeting with Pervaiz Elahi in Lahore, both leaders agreed to increase the pace of welfare projects and said that any hurdle in serving the masses will not be tolerated.

During the meeting, CM Buzdar, while appreciating parliamentary services of the Speaker, said that Pervaiz Elahi has set a new precedent by running the House in a balanced manner.

On the other hand, Pervaiz Elahi said that the Punjab government has presented a balanced budget in the current difficult economic situation.

Pervaiz Elahi further said that he is an ally of PTI and will remain so.
