Pakistan to reopen Kartarpur Sahib Corridor on Monday

Pakistan on Saturday announced the reopening of Kartarpur Sahib Corridor on the eve of the death anniversary of Sikh ruler Ranjit Singh and Pakistan Foreign Office has also conveyed to the Indian side about readiness to reopen the corridor on June 29 (Monday).
Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi announced this in a tweet, “As places of worship open up across the world, Pakistan prepares to reopen the Kartarpur Sahib Corridor for all Sikh pilgrims, conveying to the Indian side our readiness to reopen the corridor on 29 June, 2020.”

Qureshi said Kartarpur Sahib Corridor has been reopening on the occasion of the death anniversary of Maharaja Ranjeet Singh.
It is pertinent to note that Kartarpur Corridor was closed due to COVID-19 spread fears in March and after the hiatus of three months the Pakistani authorities have now reopened the corridor for the Sikh pilgrims.
